Privacy Policy
This policy explains what DailyByte collects, why, and the choices you have. It covers the DailyByte web and mobile apps.
What we collect
Account data: your email, display name, and the identity provider you sign in with. Task and workspace data: the role and work details you provide to generate tasks, and the prompts, messages, code, and files you enter in the AI workspace, along with the AI's responses and the evaluation of your work. Usage data: the tasks and problems you are served, your submissions and results, streaks, ratings, achievements, and product analytics events (for example sign-up, onboarding, and practice) used to understand and improve the service. Billing data: plan and subscription status, and tax details you provide. We do not store card numbers; payments are handled by our providers.
How we use it
To generate role-relevant tasks, run the AI workspace, evaluate and coach your work, run the daily and practice experience, personalize difficulty, operate leagues and rewards, provide paid features, send the notifications you have enabled, prevent abuse, and measure and improve product performance. We do not sell your personal data.
Who we share it with
Service providers acting on our behalf: AI providers to generate and verify tasks and problems, run the workspace assistant, and evaluate your work (your workspace inputs and the resulting transcript are sent to the AI provider to produce and grade your work); payment processors (Razorpay, Stripe) to take payments; an email provider to send sign-in links and notifications; and hosting and infrastructure providers. We share the minimum needed and require them to protect your data. We do not send your submissions or workspace data to third parties for advertising.
On the free plan, workspace requests may be served through an AI provider's free service tier, and under that tier's terms the provider (currently Google) may use those requests to improve its models. Paid and trial plans are served through paid AI capacity, which is not used for provider training. If this matters for what you type into the workspace, upgrading moves all of your AI processing onto the paid capacity.
Retention
We keep account and usage data while your account is active. When you delete your account we remove your personal data, except records we are legally required to keep, such as tax invoices, which we retain with the personal link removed.
Your rights
You can access and export a copy of your data, and delete your account and personal data, from your account settings. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under the GDPR or India's DPDP Act, including correction and objection. To exercise them, use account settings or contact us.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for sign-in and session management, including your choice to stay signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
International transfers and children
Your data may be processed in countries other than yours, with appropriate safeguards. DailyByte is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
